About the Division

The Customer Channels (CCG) serves academic, pharmaceutical, biotech, government and industrial customers by providing them with products manufactured by our company as well as those sourced from other industry-leading suppliers around the world. We represent a single source for virtually every laboratory need from lab equipment and instruments, to consumables and chemicals, to life science products, safety supplies and science education products so our customers can focus on their important work.

How Will You Make an Impact?

Our distribution teams working in sites around the world play a critical role in getting the right products to our customers when they need them. We re looking for a Senior Manager, Distribution to lead our Distribution Center in Nazareth, PA.

What will you do?
Set the standard for leadership in the facility by leading by example and fostering an environment that promotes employee development, creative thinking, empowerment and two-way communication.
Ensure the ongoing development of a strong team by training and coaching employees and by participating in the hiring and selection process.
Lead supervisors in the departments of Receiving, Put-Away, Picking, Packing, Shipping, and Inventory Control.
Work directly with leadership to ensure total P & L goals and objectives are being met.
Assists in preparing and maintaining SOP s for Distribution Center and ensure that all policies and procedures are followed accurately and efficiently.
Analysis and adjust workflow/labor planning needed; and creatively identify and lead opportunities for improvement.
Ensures that storage and handling of materials is in keeping with State and or Federal EPA, DEA, DOT, FDA, Board of Pharmacy and OSHA regulations.
Responsible for maintaining compliance with all regulatory and operational procedures and ensure that storage and handling of materials is in keeping with State and or Federal EPA, DOT, FDA, Board of Pharmacy and OSHA regulations.
Interact with MIS (Management Information Systems) to ensure that all equipment is in proper working order.
Lead the Maintenance Department to ensure compliance through preventative maintenance and vendor management on all equipment and internal assets.
Review all internal reports to measure and assess operational effectiveness, to ensure timely and accurate processing of all transactions and adherence to facility goals.
Prepares a variety of reports, including the monthly metrics report for each employee, Operational Updates for leadership, Gap Analysis and shares the information on an ongoing basis.
How will you get here?

Education
Bachelor degree in Business, Supply Chain preferred or relevant work experience (10 or more years)
Experience
10+ years of progressive management experience in a distribution operations environment

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Knowledge of operational safety and health requirements
Basic understanding of transportation modes and procedures
Current knowledge of regulatory requirements including DOT and HAZMAT
Leadership skills: able to lead, coach and motivate a large number of employees along with excellent interpersonal skills to relate well to employees, peers, various levels of management, and have a strong customer orientation to develop strong customer relationships
Strong written and communication skills to clearly express ideas, share information with employees, communicate well with customers and various management levels of the Distribution organization
Develop and deliver training related to warehouse operations, including compliance training, write procedures and develop plans. Must be able to handle conflict well and give positive and negative feedback along with managing performance issues.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to be able to evaluate, interpret information and procedures, understand and act on and resolve issues with creative problem solving.
Strong organizational skills to meet deadlines, assist staff in prioritizing work and handle multiple projects.
Ability to apply sound judgment and decision-making skills in dealing with a variety of routine issues.
Ability to be focused on continuous improvement while showing respect for individuals.
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Suite, Outlook, Word, and Excel and Warehouse Management Systems.



Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
