YOUR IMPACT AS:
Agency Relations Coordinator As our Agency Relations Coordinator, you will have an exciting and diverse range of responsibilities.
You'll be the driving force behind identifying, visiting, and screening potential member agencies who are dedicated to making a difference in our community.
You'll also have the opportunity to visit our existing member agencies to monitor their operations and provide valuable training to both staff and volunteers.
But that's not all! Your problem-solving skills will shine as you assist member agencies in resolving any operational challenges they may face.
In this role, you'll play a crucial part in overseeing the monitoring of agencies to ensure compliance with Feeding America's and Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture standards.
When non-compliance issues arise, you'll notify agencies and establish corrective action plans to ensure everyone meets the highest standards of excellence.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
To excel as the Community Programs Coordinator at Second Harvest Food Bank, you will need a diverse range of skills and abilities.
First you should have excellent organization and time management skills, allowing you to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines with ease.
Additionally, your ability to build relationships and maintain professionalism is crucial in fostering strong connections with potential and existing member agencies.
Strong communication skills, both oral and written, are essential, as you will be responsible for making public presentations and effectively conveying information to a variety of audiences.
Being able to work independently in a self-directed manner while also collaborating effectively as part of a team is also important.
While not required, previous experience in the food industry can be helpful in understanding the unique challenges and opportunities within this field.
Finally, certification in safe food handling is required within 6 months of your start date to ensure compliance with safety standards.
