Custodian
Job Description:
Perform routine housekeeping work that is necessary to upkeep NCHA's three buildings as directed by Property Manager.
Essential Functions Include:
Dust, and wet mop floors.
Empty waste cans and trash/recycling containers and barrels.
Vacuum rugs, carpet, and upholstery.
Dust desks, furniture, file cabinets, office equipment, counter, windowsills, blinds, and pictures.
Clean glass on doors and windows.
Clean and sanitize bathrooms.
Clean kitchen areas, appliances, stoves, refrigerators, and microwaves.
Sanitize bathrooms.
Clean walls.
Performs other related cleaning/housekeeping duties as required.
Qualifications:
Highschool diploma or GED Ability to prioritize, organize and perform work independently; ability to adjust quickly to changing priorities in a sometimes-stressful environment.
Minimum 1 year experience in custodial or related field.
Excellent attendance record.
Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
Self-starter and team player.
Ability to communicate with co-workers and supervisors Requires PA Driver's License.
Ability to walk large campuses.
Ability to exert physical effort, such as walking, standing and lifting; dexterity in the use of fingers, limbs and body in the operation of equipment.
Ability to perform physical job requirements, bending, twisting, reaching and lifting/moving up to 50 pounds.
